Utopia by Design:

The Utopia by Design Manifesto was created as part of a seminar on the 100th anniversary of Thomas Moore’s Utopia. The project deals with the important questions about the state of the world today, addressing social and environmental issues. It strongly criticizes the problems of the now and offers some answers, as to how design can be an agent of change and create a more suitable living and society. A bold utopian vision of a sustainable, science-based future is proposed.
The film was broadcast as an integral part of the cultural artistic program entitled “Tuning: Concert for the Two-Million Orchestra” prepared by Boris Benko and Primož Hladnik for the national celebration for the Day of Independence and Unity of Slovenia on 22nd December 2017. In 2018 Utopia by Design received an award for special achievements and active participation in extracurricular activities, awarded by the rector of University of Ljubljana.
